This custom hybrid system pairs the MRCOOL® DIY® 5th Generation 48,000 BTU multi-zone condenser with a 36,000 BTU ducted DIY Hybrid™ air handler and a 12,000 BTU wall-mounted air handler. This configuration allows you to condition large open areas through ductwork while independently controlling a separate room such as a master bedroom, office, bonus room, or addition.

 

Installation is dramatically simplified using MRCOOL®’s patented DIY® QuickConnect® technology, which eliminates the need for vacuum pumps, refrigerant gauges, or licensed HVAC technicians. All compatible line sets are pre-charged with R-454B refrigerant, a next-generation, low-GWP refrigerant that improves efficiency while reducing environmental impact. The included DIYPRO® cable removes the need for electrical conduit, speeding up installation and improving long-term durability.

 

With DC inverter technology, Gold Fin® corrosion protection, and full smart home integration, this hybrid system delivers quiet operation, lower energy bills, and dependable year-round comfort.
